I am a recently retired United Methodist Minister, having served 3 churches in the Northern California-Nevada Conference for 21 years. I have performed hundreds of weddings and memorial/funeral services. I have a progressive orientation in my faith beliefs, and prefer to use inclusive language in my services.
It is a joy to work with couples to help them plan a service that blends their themes and interests with traditional or innovative wedding services. It is a precious time. I have officiated at weddings in large sanctuaries, small worship spaces, modest homes, beautiful wineries, special restaurants, and lovely parks.
I also feel it is a privilege to meet with families who are grieving the loss of a loved one. It is a sacred time. In sharing with the family, I am able to develop a service that honors the deceased, using personal stories from his/her life.
